Terry's Story

Life After graduating from Western Michigan University and The University of Rochester's Eastman School of Music I received a Fulbright Scholarship to study in Vienna, Austria, where I have been living and working since 1980. My husband Rudi is a cellist, and we have two children; both Nikolaus and Valerie are in college now and both are studying music. I teach chamber music for winds, strings, singers and pianists at the University of Music and the Performing Arts here in Vienna and have done a lot of performing around Europe, the USA ...Expand for more
and Japan with various ensembles. Living near the alps made alpine skiing a must; I'm not trying to break any records, but it's a great family sport! I also enjoy long hikes in peaceful places. I speak German, of course, and spent a lot of time trying to learn Hungarian (because of spending alot of time in Hungary and many Hungarian friends); I am presently trying to remember my French vocabulary from my Lakeview days with Judy Butler in order to assist my daughter in her studies at school, and it amazes me how much is still there!!
